I never thought being bisexual was a disease but a way of life. Here is a case where someone is suspected of murdering someone who later is found murdered. His mother opened up about his son being bisexual for which he was being treated that led to several side effects. Here is an excerpt from that news itemShe claimed that her son was prescribed a strong antipsychotic drug upon knowing about his sexual orientation, which had severe side-effects such as short-term memory lapse, nausea, dyskinesia, mental sluggishness and others. You can read the full story here

Hmmm... Why can't people just be themselves without fear of judgement or medical intervention where none is required?

Many think that bisexuality is a disease which is not. It was wrong on the part of this guy's parents to get him treated

@pgntwo But not all think this way. As you know it is only now that gays are accepted in society

@allknowing Human sexuality spans a spectrum of behaviours, and some behaviours come more naturally to some people than they do to others. This is what makes people different. It was wrong of the parents, and even more wrong of society at the time, those who "set the norm".

@allknowing I didn't read the article but it seems the doctor would be the one at fault for prescribing medicine to treat homosexuality when there is no medicine for that!

It is the parents' ignorance but at the same time the doctor could have also guided them.

The mother is lying here I suspect, he was being treated for psychosis and he was stalking the man he killed. There is a lot more to this story.

From comments here it is possible he had the mental illness even before that treatment but that could be ruled out as how could he have become a full fledged doctor with symptoms that are mentioned in that link?

@BelleStarr That could be possible.

@allknowing He may have kept his illness under control when he was younger and the stress of being a doctor may just have been too much for him.

I cannot understand people why they cannot accept them as they are as a person. Parents should respect his son and of course as a human being. Bisexual is not a disease to treat them. Only the person who are able to change himself what they want to be.
