I love winter. When this one started, I was happy. We had many pleasant days of snow, and then it turned bad. Now, with the third ice warning in affect for tonight, I'm so depressed, I WANT SPRING. I surrender. If Mother Nature isn't going to be kind and give me snow, then by all means give me rain, but please, don't give me ice.
I missed the pool twice this week due to ice storms. We have another weather aware day today, though to look at it right now, with sun and blue skies, it's hard to believe it's going to turn cloudy in a few hours and we will once again be in the mix - snow and rain = ice again tonight. Thankfully, this time the system is rushing through, and will be cleared out by morning to only rain when it's time to go to church.
So, yes. I surrender. Give me spring. I'm tired of what I'm getting. Three ice storms in one week is too much for me.

I live in Tunis where both the Summer season and the Winter season are at their extremes. Winters are despised for being too cold to even move from here to there and Summers for being too hot to be outside. Personally, I like summer because when the sky is clear at night, I can lay out a blanket and stare up at the stars.

Honestly, the weather isn't too bad. It's been pretty mild all things considering. So, I won't complain too much. The last week especially has been nice. Don't get me wrong I do want spring, but for the moment the weather hasn't been horrible.

don't envy ya all that ice, hon. used to get such quite frequent back'n the hills. today 'tis breezy (blowin' 'bout 25-30) 'n chilly 's yet 'nother fruitless front moves through. i'm ready fer late spring 's early/mid jest brings more'f the same.

I wouldn't mind that if it didn't get hot for summer. Windy here today in the 30's, so not too bad. At least the rain has moved out. The tree outside my window is a good indication of just how hard it's blowin' out there. Supposed to gust to 40 mph today.

I hate to tell you but you asked.
Its going to be in the mid 70`s today with rain predicted for tonight. The trees and spring flowers are all blooming. The grass is growing and I will mow today, do far we have March already.

The weather was decent today and will be warm and a bit rainy tomorrow. I guess I am ready for spring. I don't want any more freezing temps that are drivign the electricity costs up.

I hear ya. It's as though everyone wants to raise rates. Usually we get a rate hike on electricity in spring, so I won't be surprised to see that happening here too.

We've had a really cold and wet winter in the UK. It's not too bad at the moment although the temperatures are low; it's bright and sunny and reminds me that spring is on its way so I'm looking forward to it. Every time I catch site of a few snowdrops or katkins it makes me smile.

Over here we have rainy season and the harmattans. I hate the harmattan. It is very dusty time and you get dust entering into your nose, your apartment, your car etc. Literally everywhere. Nothing escapes the dust. The rains have started falling and I love it.

I was wondering how you could like winter so much. I hated it when I was growing up. It was too cold and the temperatures were horrible and had to bundle up and still not warm enough. Here it is not as bad as growing up in Minneapolis in the winter time. Yes, here it is cold inside and out and not good time to learn Hebrew but we have days where it is like summer and then gets cold again but at least here I know winter will go and spring and summer will come.

I do love winter. It's my favorite time of year. I just hate all this ice we're getting this year. The snow line is just to the north of us, and we're stuck in the middle between snow and rain, resulting in this icy mix. Last night wasn't bad. The storm rushed through, so no ice to deal with this morning, as it turned to all rain, and now even that is gone through.
