Do any of you ever feel that you are trying to do something nice and you forget people?

I will explain better here. On facebook on Friday the Jews wish each other a Shabbat Shalom. I have certain friends there. I have non-Jewish ones too. So, I tried something new and singled out some and remembered when I could not go to the computer I forgot some and felt terrible. I tried to make it up to them but did not hear from them. I should have just stuck to wishing all the Jews a Shabbat Shalom is what we do on Friday and my non-Jewish friends a good weekend. We do not have weekends here in Israel. We have Friday to get ready for our Sabbath and then after we light candles everything stops. We have a hot plate type of thing that we warm our food on to keep it warm to eat for our Sabbath meal and we do not write, use the phone, watch TV or use the computer. That is not all Jews but ones that are more religious or are religious and observe our Shabbat. So, when Shabbat was over I went to the computer to try and mention the ones I did not. From now on I will just wish a Shabbat Shalom to the Jews and good weekend-to the non-Jews. Have you ever tried to do the right thing and it backfired on you and you forgot someone?

I've done it too. It's part of life. I hope your friends will forgive you.

@Hannihar They'll get over it if they are true friends.

@just4him One someone told me she was not on the computer but conveyed a message from me and two others answered me and were not mad. I still feel bad because they are good friends and i hope one day to meet them in person Valerie. They have been good to me I also wanted to add.

Shalom! Shabbat Shalom, even though it's over.. You have to remember who your audience is. Dare I say, goyim? lol

I believe our culture is important for others to know about too. But, Dianne, there are those that understand and those that are interested in understanding here and why not share something i am proud to be a part of with them Dianne. That is just me and how I feel.

@Hannihar You are right and should share. I've discussed Rosh Hashonna and Yom Kippur.

It happens occasionally! More so in a digital age! When things were done by hand on paper there seemed to be more time to look at a list and fix errors. Online usually for me at least, seems to be open for more room for accidentally not adding or forgetting to add someone!
