What a beautiful sound!

I woke up this morning and heard something wonderful outside: the rain was coming down. It's a slow and steady Seattle-style rain, and we needed it. As of now, an hour later, it's still coming down, slowly but steadily. We were literally "zero for February" until this front moved in. How's the weather where you are? Any signs of Spring (or Fall, for our down-under friends)? I bought some new corn, green bean and pepper seeds and have started planting for Spring with the kids at the preschool.

Rain is common here, we got 1.5 inches so far in the past 36 hours, the sun was out but the clouds are back now. Yes its pretty Spring time here, this is one of my yellow bell bushes.

I love the sound of rain :-) I won't hear it for real for another few months. We got a lot of snow on Saturday, over 6 inches. Do I understand right - you planted stuff - outside - for a garden? Won't lie.... jealous right now.....

I love the sound of rain, too. In fact, I use rain as "white noise" for bedtime. Funny story, though: Saturday the real rain was coming down so hard it was drowning out the ambient sounds!

Glad you are getting some much needed rain. It's been rainy all month here which is fine. We haven't experienced flooding like other areas but if it continues we just may. Rain in the forecast all but 1 day this week.

It's freezing cold in France and it snowed a little an hour ago... But there's more daylight and I can hear the birds sing in the morning on my way to work... Still too soon to plant flowers in the garden :)

I'll see if what we planted germinates in the little cups. I bought some squash and melon seeds for the kids as well. Those require a lot of watering, but the kids enjoy "water play" as the weather gets warmer.

We've had over ten inches of rain this month. Wish we could send you some. The grass is greening up quickly. There's still plenty of brown, but the green is starting to win out everywhere. Yay!!!
