Is the British government about to fall?

Well, looks like the leader of the opposition, Jeremy Corbyn, has made his move to bring down the British government, and its Brexit causing all the problems yet again. He has essentially aligned himself with the United Kingdom staying in the customs union and single market which means continuing unlimited immigration and freedom of movement, the Europeans Union’s non negotiable red line on any European Union deal. By doing this he is going against 35% of his voters and 52% of the country who voted Brexit. Corbyn knows this will force another referendum at worse and general election at best, which he expects to win. Prime Minister May knows, today, that come the big vote on the final deal some 12 months away she will lose, if the hard right anti Europe MPs do indeed vote down her soft Brexit deal that will go to the Houses of Parliament in March 2019. That is why she may as well go now as nothing is going to change on that. Brexit was always an impossible task and easier for individuals involved to walk away. MPs simply don’t have the stomach for a fight in general on anything and want an easier life and so will mess around with Brexit to stop or delay it. Corbyn has been much criticized for being weak but this was a big play by him today and the first signs he could lead. He took a risk today and so fair play. I voted Brexit to remove the then current Tory Prime Minister because his politics were hurting the country. It worked but I was one vote that caused that shock result in June 2016. I’m not sorry as the last ten years has seen the country decline in Europe and the immigration issue is taking over their politics to. Open borders will bring down Europe. Italy’s general election result next week is now critical for Europe’s survival. If it swings right it’s all over as Italy will want a referendum on Europe as the African immigration flow accelerates on the Mediterranean like the D Day landings.

What I like with you Brexiters is that you are really wishing the best to the EU. EU should have fallen with the vote in the Netherlands. It did not. It should have fallen with the vote in France. Not only it did not but Le Pen has only 6 deputies/570 today. It should have fallen with the vote in Germany and it did not. I wonder how it can fall in Italy as what was the worst anti-EU party, the M5S, has even removed of its program a referendum against the Euro !!? Thanks to who ? To you, proud Brexiters, your vote has been very useful to make the rest of Europe understand that leaving was not a good idea.

France didn't exactly have a credible center right. Holland , if given the referendum vote, would vote to leave.

Are open borders allowing non EU members to travel freely?? Britain no longer wants unlimited traveling of EU member countries? If so why not?

UK borders are not opened, it is not in the Schengen area. What he calls "immigrants" are mostly EU citizens, but there are also 1.3 million of UK citizens in the EU.

@topffer Im fully aware we can still turn people away at the border bu we dont .We let everyone in - the mostly good with the occasional bad - because its cheaper that way. Most Brits in Europe are retirees. There are less than 100.000 working Brits in Eastern Europe but two million in the U.K. Most Eastern Europeans are tax neutral in the UK with working tax credit topping up their wages. They dont contribute to the overall tax tax significantly In effect they create their own economy of shops and lifestyle here like many first generation immigrant groups.

Unlimited fee movement has driven down wages and pushed up housing rents. Crime is very high in immigrant groups

Don't you think they are just driving wages down on purpose. I mean sure people that just want a job and take crap pay will always drive down wages, but even if you closed yourself off to the rest of the world. They would drive down wages anyway because they all are greedy. Its about exploiting people one way ot another so they can have their lavish lifestyles. Close the borders exit from the European pact, but not going to fix the issue because people are not looking at the right problem. It is the Corporate Elite making a killing off of taking advantage of poor people that is the problem and politicians who take their money and pass laws so they can get away with it.
