Will you donate your hair?

Hello everyoone. A friend of mine last year donated her hair for the cancer patients. She said the hair needs to be at least 12 inches long. As my hair is long now, my thoughts came into this 'what if I donate my hair instead of cutting a few inches.' I am still thinking about this and have not decided yet. What do you think? Would you donate your hair?

when i was younger, i had thick curly hair. now that i am in my late 50's, my hair is getting thinner, the curls gone. but it grows long. i cannot donate my hair. white hairs grow fast as well.

@Sreekala I do understand that. Our hair is our crowning glory and sometimes it is hard to let go of our hair. It is like losing something.

@kobesmom donates her hair all the time except one time when she had her hair coloured and they wouldn't accept that. My hair's been bleached but treated well with olaplex and my hair's blonde. So I don't think they would accept my hair at all. I know there are some guidelines in donating hair.

I know it has to be a certain way. I did not know it needed to be 12 inches long. I wanted to donate my hair to cancer patients but it is short so I cannot. My hats go off to those that can and they accept their hair.

I would if I had the patience to grow it long enough to be worth donating. Also I am not sure what kind of hair is acceptable or not. My hair is really dry and coarse. It may not be suitable.
