the weirdest pet you've ever had?

I've had your stock of normal pets such as cats and dogs and hamsters. I've even had pet mice (fancy mice, not just plain white mice). I've even kept turtles and frogs for a time. However I think those are your pretty 'normal' run of pets. The strangest pet I've ever had and currently have are hermit crabs. Not too many people think of them as pets and people tend of think of them as nothing more than throw away pets which annoys me because they're entertaining, and can live for quite some time (15+ years if cared for properly) so they're not just throw away pets. So tell me, what is the weirdest pet you've ever owned? Did other people think it was strange? Do you still own that pet? Have a great day my friends
