For those who are unfamiliar, there is a wonderful series called "Once Upon a Time". In this highly imaginative series , all of your favorite fairy tale characters are trapped in the "real" world and they have forgotten who they are. As the series progresses there is a different cast of characters that come and go and different adventures. One of the recurring characters is Mr. Gold / Rumplestiltskin as portrayed by Robert Carlyle. Now the really interesting thing about this one is that he isn't a nice character. He's the mischievous , out for #1, trouble maker. However in the story line he's also a powerful character. There's also a hint that there is a more feeling character underneath all that gruffness. He's a very snappy dresser and that accent is nice. Well, for whatever reason... even I can't figure it out....but then again - that's why he's in "unlikely" crushes. :-) (The character of Rumple that is. Robert Carlyle the actor has a big fan base.) Here's a delightful video compilation with lots of shots of Rumple/Gold. You're welcome. :
yes, when i fangirl i fangirl hard. The many faces of Rumple and Mr. Gold. You gotta love the man. Robert, all the awards! All of them! Song - Ratatat - Lex ...

Yes, I totally agree with you on Robert Carlyle. I first met him in Stargate Universe. He's perfect for his role as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold. I'm sad this series is coming to an end.

@FayeHazel When I saw him in Once Upon a Time after Stargate, I knew he was perfect for the part. Yes, he does have that charm and swagger down. Love the accent too.

@just4him Ah that accent! It's wonderful! Though he does tame it down for TV - I watched an interview, and his accent was so thick I could hardly understand

I've not watched Once upon a time, but I am familiar with Robert Carlyle. He is probably best known for Trainspotting and The Full Monty. Thought he might be a bit scrawny for you?

@FayeHazel The Full Monty is definitely a chick flick. I watched it once, but never again. Good not to have a type, although I do. I know it narrows the options but I can't help it.

"Trainspotting" was a really weird role. "Full Monty" haven't seen in awhile, would be worth a re-watch tho! :-) I don't really have a "type" of guy so to say. Actually the really muscular body builder types do not appeal to me -- though I can appreciate the effort it must take.

@Orson_Kart Lol! Cmon, chick flick night, it'll be fun! lol. Yeah I agree. Though I don't fault you, you like what you like. (Just so long as people aren't deliberately cruel to one's that aren't your type, that seems to go on a lot.) I do seem drawn at times to the smaller guys, however it's always weird because when I go out with someone smaller - I dwarf them and then I feel weird over it, when I know in reality it's just a mind thing .... if they've minded they haven't said...

I've watched a few seasons of Once Upon A Time. I'll admit that he's such an interesting character. He's quite something.

We watched Once Upon a Time for a while until it got too predictable, but I loved Mr. Gold. He was creepy, but in a sexy kind of way.

Ah so true. The later episodes have gotten predictable. "How about everyone forgets everything, again?" Ah thank goodness, someone else understands my attraction to Gold.... such a snappy dresser

I used to love the show, to be honest - recently, it's gotten a little repetitive. Other stuff he's done include "Trainspotting" and "Full Monty" oh, along with "Stargate Universe"
