For years I was looking for the title of this song.
The Final Countdown -Europe -
I love it mostly for the beginning part. First time I heard it was at the end of a War video and I loved it right away.
I am so happy that I found it on YouTube.
I must say that I am not crazy about the "long hair" there.

That song is a great song. It is over 30 years old. It is quite funny looking at fashion from the past. I am sure that fashions were quite different in Canada back then. Thinking back even further to mini skirts and flared trousers! Long hair was Vogue back then and still is with some rockers! These days with trousers halfway down peoples bottoms is not fashionable in my opinion it just looks silly and gross. Now I sound like my father., See what you did there Marlina!

The song was used in a funny commercial for GEICO insurance, so that's how my kids know the song. But I remember when it first came out...it was the one and only song I liked of the band Europe!

usually, this upbeat song is played whenever a competition is reaching its finals.then when won, the Queen's "we are the champion" is loudly played.
