These are the common words we do use in life -'Thank you and sorry '.We have to be always thankful for the people helped us to in our life and the God created us.My dad uses the word thanks many times in a day.Even for the small help done to him by my mom.yeah it's really make her happy to feel better with the small word. Some people say these words should not exist between two people who are close and should not use it too oftenly ..if we use more others will take advantage and makes these words no value. I think we should be thankful for everything for the small help done to us no matter how close we are..either husband or wife relationship or friends it helpful for good relationship. What do you say about this friends?.is thank you should exist in close relationship ?.do you use it often?.

It is an essential part of our vocabulary. We are taught from a very young age to say thank you and please. Not all people use it though but most do. Manners maketh the man is a very famous proverb and was mentioned before the 1400's meaning that manners are essential for everyone! !

Those are necessary words and always make me feel good, to use it when someone does something for me, or when someone says it to me. It should not be taken out of our language. You can't say it too often.

I don't say "thankyou" much to my wife but I am pleased to know that your father does it often. I believe one should say these words when needed and should not shy if he or she has to say this to younger people or kids.

For me, “thank you” is a polite response, regardless if the person to say it to is close to you or not. It is for civility (person not close) or sign of respect and appreciation (person close to you). I myself use these words to show my appreciation for people close to me and to those who have helped me (both good and bad). ??
