Black cats are being adopted thanks to the Black Panther movie

The Marvel Studios movie "Black Panther" which has a huge hit for the studio since it opened in February 16, 2018 has inspired one new trend.
Many black cats that were in animal shelters have been adopted by loving families so they can spend quality time with their owners for a long time.
The catch is that many of the cats have been named after the characters of the movie and even the name of the fictional nation where T' Challa calls his home which is Wakanda which is a fictional nation.
At least the Black Panther movie has saved a lot of cats from being put down due to overcrowding at animal shelters nationwide.

@Deepizzaguy Some pets go in and out of fashion and if they are out of fashion their owners sometimes don't bother looking after them properly.

Cats have different personalities. One black cat likes me while the other one does not like me at all.

That's wonderful news! Cats are cats no matter what color their fur is. Cats are so precious and sweet. Cats make good companions. Guess you can say that about dogs too. In Britain black cats are considered very good luck.

It wasn't a bad movie. I thought it moved a little slow in places, but it was neat seeing the level of technology involved.
I hope those kitties get the love they need long after the movie fades from memory.

It's sad that people believe black cats are somehow bad luck @Deepizzaguy . I've had several and they are just as sweet as any others. At least this turned out to be a good thing.
