That Did Not Last 24 Hours!

A couple discussions back I whined about falling and going to the e.r. making sure it, the leg and foot, was okay and all that jazz. I wore the ankle support all evening, even after my ankle popped and I got relief, and took it off to sleep as instructed. I woke and ut the ankle support on and wore it all morning. Until...... It was raining, I looked down at that contraption and wondered how the heck I was going to keep that sock dry. I opened my walking shoe as far as it would go and my foot and this thing would not fit. I took it off, put my shoe on and got up and walked around. Hmm.... less pain! I drove Tony to his treatment and for another scan. I walked, but used his cane, when needed. My foot is just a wee bit swollen and getting better by the minute. I owe my healing to the good Lord and my stuborness. I now lay that big plastic ankle support to rest, in a bottom drawer, someone might need this another day. How had your Monday been?

You look a lot like me. My husband gets mad when I do not follow doctors instructions.

@andriaperry I feel well and I do not care too much for small problems. When it's serious is a different matter.

It will probably feel a bit better every day. My Monday was frustrating..but OK overall I guess. I don't think you should push yourself though.

That's good you can walk on it. Yesterday I watched a movie, cleaned one of the litter boxes, read my book, played a game, and colored. Today it's raining. I went to take the trash out. I'm going to read some more and color later.

Monday was kind of busy for me but I started getting busy only in the afternoon. Still catching up on my sleep actually so woke up at 9:30 which isn't normal for me at all. But since my business trip, Sunday evening was the only evening I could finally sleep in my very own bed. I must have missed it so much that I woke up very late.

I've always found movement is the best thing to heal a sprain/strain - I had one of those boot things last year and it ended up making my foot even more sore

What does it mean when it says your ankle popped and then felt better? Was it out of place like dislocated?

In my limited experience, when I sprained my ankle. It healed quickly when I used it carefully. I was back to normal wishing a week. A girlfriend sprained her ankle the same week.m she had assistive devices and sat and rested that poor painful ankle. Three months later it was still giving her grief. Glad that it's feeling so much better.

Good to know it's healing nicely but continue to take precaution like using a cane.
