The Oreo was first introduced in a grocery store in Hoboken, New Jersey on March, 6, 1912.
Oreos are available in over 100 countries. In Indonesia they come in a blueberry ice cream flavor and in China and Japan they come in a green tea flavor.
Originally Oreos came in two different flavors. There was lemon meringue and the original. In 1920 the lemon one was discontinued.
The ratio of the Oreo cookie creme to cookie is exactly 71 percent to 29 percent.

@infatuatedbby ......The sandwich stuff tastes like it has lard in it so the regular ones are the most I can handle.

I'd like the lemon ones but wonder about the blueberry.

I like Oreos and they have so many varieties today. The crème filling in the middle of those 2 cookie wafers pure genius!
