Oatmeal this morning

Today I will fix hubby hot oatmeal for breakfast. A smoothie would be too cold. He will likely have soup for lunch. I cooked up some chicken and hubby will make chicken salad for us. I feel like he is not eating enough. You have to have calories and protein to heal up skin wounds. It is time for me to get started with my day.

Soups can be very nourishing depending on the type.

He ended up not eating anything until I came home and made him a smoothie with protein powder, bananas, peanut butter, yogurt. I will puree him some clam chowder for his lunch today.

Hot oatmeal is good and is rich in fiber.

He had trouble swallowing it. I enjoyed mine, though.

I like an oatmeal breakfast - sometimes I sprinkle bran or wheat flakes on top.

He even had a hard time with the oatmeal. The man is going to be fed protein smoothies for a while. I am going to puree some clam chowder for his lunch.

@GardenGerty Have you tried Ensure?

Its hard to eat after an extraction, I cannot imagine having more than one at a time. You are feeding him the best you can, get a pack of ensure and make him drink one a day till this is over.

He will not do Ensure, it is made with soy. He is doing well with homemade smoothies, based with my homemade yogurt. He needs the probiotics due to the antibiotics he is on.I am sure he will get through this, but I do have tons of sympathy for him.

I don't do oatmeal. I will use it in my no-bake cookies. But that's about it.

I often make home made granola, and we use it a lot. I need to make some no bakes soon.

@GardenGerty Ill probably make no bakes for Easter, they have become a staple for all holidays.
