School Bus Delayed by a Mishap

This is a memory I'd like to share with everyone on My Lot. Little kids can be pretty tricky, at times. When I was about ten year old, our school bus had to back into a long driveway to turn around. Then, our bus would be driven back in the same direction it had come, to deliver all of us to the school. One morning, our bus driver was having visibility problems and he couldn't determine how much room there was behind the bus. Two impish boys wiped fog off the Emergency Exit window and kept telling Mr. E. he had plenty of room, 'Keep backing up!' He listened to these pranksters, ending up with the two back tires of the bus, stuck in Tawas Lake! I was elated, imagining we probably wouldn't be able to attend school that day, but I was wrong Photo: Borrowed picture from Pixabay

That's an interesting story. Little children can be foolish. The driver learned his lesson.

Those boys really were pranksters. Poor bus driver. Poor kids too since they still had to go to school.

Boys will be boys, you said. But, were they punished in some way by what they did? There could have been a mayor accident.

I'm not sure what happened, once the bus driver reported this mishap. I was kidding about boys, some are very sweet, good children. And some girls act terrible, also.

@kobesbuddy Children are not always little angels. I had an exchange of words with Sofía, my youngest granddaughter, today. She gave me the dirtiest of looks
