For those of you who read my poem on the 5th called 'The Deep Blue Sea', did you happen to watch NBC Nightly News last night with Lester Holt? Talk about timing of my poem. If you think for a moment that my poem was conjecture, watch the news video from last night. You will truly see what my poem meant.

@LadyDuck I can't even imagine this planet in 20 years. I did an article many years ago called Glass Domes where because of 'man's' stupidity about the environment and the total loss of animal life, that humans would have to live in glass-domed cities.

It is horrifying to think about what we are doing to the ocean. Our great-grandchildren are going to be so disappointed in our generation for allowing this to happen.

Especially if they have to live in Glass Domed cities because we've destroyed the forests, oceans and air. All they'll be able to see of how our planet 'once' was will be in videos or history books @DeborahDiane .

@nanette64 - It is so sad to imagine that could happen someday but, the worse things get, the more I think it is possible!

@Courage7 I wish people would stand up and force governments to do something; before it's too late.

Yeah, it says video has expired. Apparently NBC only has live videos on for a specific length of time. Sorry about that @1hopefulman .

@nanette64 I think if we go on YouTube there are many videos showing the pollution in our oceans.

The ocean is so vast yet we're even managing to fill that up with plastic.
