Two cups of hot cocoa in the past two days

I don't often drink hot chocolate or cocoa. Strangely, I have had two cups in the past two days. I had some yesterday while I was out mystery shopping because it was free and it was a little cold. I had some just now, because I wanted something warm that didn't have too much caffeine in it..not herbal tea..because I am out of the kind I like. I have only had one or two other cups of hot cocoa this winter. How often do you drink it?

@snowy22315 Dairy is out, so I put cashew or almond milk and cocoa powder/bakers chocolate in it. No stevia either. It has a different taste to it, but it's good. The almond or cashew milk takes the bitterness out of the cocoa.

Yeah, after your childhood you don't seem to drink it that much..unless you don't drink coffee. I think my sister drinks it a fair amount since she doesn't like coffee or tea.

@snowy22315 Certainly I used to drink more but I've gone off it lately. And it's hot here at the moment so not really the right conditions for drinking hot cocoa.

Not often but when I feel cold and when there's swissmiss dark chocolate, I usually go for that brand.

When I was a kid, I'd sometimes have a cup of hot cocoa with cool whip on top of it. But I'd only eat the cool whip!
Since then, I've come to like hot cocoa more, although I'm still not a huge fan of it as an adult. I just have some a couple times per winter.

Yeah, it's good but I think of it more as a kid's drink or maybe a skiers drink. It is awesome with peppermint schnapps..but I don't have any, and it makes it more fattening.

I've never tried hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps, but it sounds good. I'll have to try it sometime, Snowy.

Some of thos low cal or sugar free calories are only about 60 calories a package. They taste OK.

I mostly drink coffee but I like hot cocoa too now and then. =)

It is definitely a cold weather drink.The frozen hot chocolate they have in the summer is awesome though. I love that.
