What is your salary expectation ? What is you notice period ? Honestly I am done with these questions. After Technical and Manger round we will be having HR round. And yes these two questions do hurt me. What is your salary expection --->And you answer So & So amount then they will be telling why you think you deserve this much And well then she will talk about your current cost to company. Hey HR(Human Resource) Technical and Manager round wasn't enough to tell you that I deserve it What is you notice period --- 3 months , And her reaction -- (as shocked) 3 months Hey HR Did you see your norms, rules and regulations That too has 3 months of Notice period. What shock you in that. How many of you have gone through such kind of questions ? How was your reaction and how you tackle such questions ? Note to Reader - If you are an HR don't feel offended. Please release me an offer letter

I've never been asked such question but then again, I just had two job interviews to which I was accepted in the past.

Relax and enjoy your interviews. HR is there to protect the company. If you react negatively to their questions they will know and will not be inclined to accept you. Take all their questions as a ladder to your objective - getting employed and you will succeed. Take it otherwise, no one would want to hire you.

Ha ha ha I am an HR and I do ask this question. Reason is not to ask salary expectation but to understand is person only changing job for money or to upgrade his skill. Best answer of this question is to tell HR that it will depend on the profile and also ask her what is there salary bracket. Notice Period is not an issue for HR problem is candidates who take offer and then don't join. HR time , project billing and other candidates efforts get wasted.
