Back To My Old Avatar?

I've recently chanced on the avatar I used for many years on other sites. When I chose it, I was already a woman of advanced age and not an immature youngster as the piccie may suggest.
Three reasons made me choose it:
1. I like cats.
2. I like wearing something on my head.
3. I have a silly streak which doesn't become less with age.
4. Last but not least: I wasn't capable of uploading a photo of mine as an avatar. The cat piccie was easy to install, though.
After some years I got a bit tired of the cat. When I found a friendly soul who could help me upload my Panama hat photo, I decided it was time for a change and sent the cat into early retirement.
My Panama hat photo was a good choice. Several members, who also meandered from site to site when one after the other bit the dust, told me that they recognised it at once and were glad to see that I had already arrived.
When something has been sucked dry, when news aren't really new and you feel like yawning, Germans say, "That's an old hat". I wonder: has my Panama hat become an old hat? I wouldn't introduce a completely new piccie but in the spirit of recycling go back to my cat-cumm*-grapefruit**-hat one.
Whaddaya say?

I remember your cat with the helmet and I loved it. I also love cats and this was a funny picture. I never change my avatar, during the years, many people have recognized me through my avatar. I often forget the users name, but I never forget an avatar. Some love to change very often, they also change the "name" (the username is not possile). During a few days I have no idea with whom I am talking.

It's a great picture. I have used the same avatar here for some time and think I might change mine soon although I've no idea what to choose. That can be my next task for the day .. what a boring life I lead

The English expression drops the indefinite article, as in "something's old hat". The cat pic is nowhere near as classy as your Panama-bedecked avatar, I must say. My wingtip avatar's definitely old hat, yesterday's news, nothing to write home about these days.

@Namelesss Well, in this case, smartness doesn't get me anywhere. I can never use these obscene words! :-(
I don't talk English to anyone. If I did, this person wouldn't be too pleased to hear obscenities from me. I can't use the words in writing, either, because they're not accepted on family-friendly sites. (A funny idea. Youngsters know more obscenities than grown-ups!)

You decide, both are good, the cat is quite funny but as you Can see from my profile pic I like hats too
