The older one ages, the shorter the hair sports. That is why I decided to have my locks cut, the lazy curls on my nape over and done with. My hair is unruly, really. I have spent so much conditioner, that after-shampoo thing that one gently massages on the hair to achieve soft and smooth strands. Never worked for me, actually. I just keep applying in the hope that I'd look good and feel good. To no avail. Once and for all, I allowed the scissors to splice my hair, and thought that if Samson lost his strength, would mine be the same, too? Awful thought. Never mind, there would be pillars to stand in between anyway.

@toniganzon Uncombed and sexy. You have good, beautiful hair. I like that natural style a lot better than the rebonded unnatural hair.

There is nothing like the wild curly untamed hair that I have... LOL! Ever since I was a kid I always kept my hair short because of the curls and I just didn't like spending too much time on my hair. Now that I'm 52, I am trying to grow out my hair as an experiment. It has been a year since I last cut my hair. Here is the before and after. :-)

You look good in both. But yes, it is exciting to try something new. Beauty make-over has become the culture of this generation. The Koreans even change their faces completely. There is nothing that cannot be solved when it comes to vanity. But for me, there is nothing like the original. Curly or unruly, kinky or without body, i love my hair as it is. Though I feel sad when somebody says "Hey, check the wind-tossed hair, it's like a tornado spinning on all directions." But i;ve come to live with it. I love you smile.

@MistyckMoon Believe it or not, I do not give my hair much thought all the years and am just learning how to care for my hair now that I am much older. Mine is wash and brush long hair, tied in a pony tail once the heat gets uncomfortable. Like you, I love the whole experience of not being bothered by a strand out of place. But now, gosh, I am touchy.

@eileenleyva The greatest love is the love you have for yourself just as you are. I have my moments when this hair drives me nuts, but I do love the whole experience. I am slowly learning how to take care of longer hair and how much work and stuff you need to maintain it... LOL! It is definitely a learning curve.

I just barb my hair to the skin. I have forgotten what it means to shampoo it.

Well, if that's you and you have shorten your hair? it's obviously practical since it's summer. I get head aches when my hair is bulky during the afternoon heat.

We have a neighbor's son here who never cut his hair until he was 15 because the reason is odd. Every time they cut his hair, he gets sick and even doctors can't tell the problem.

Wow. that is an interesting case study. Hope the networks can make a feature of your local boy's condition. I only meant this post as a non-serious blog, and look, what a very interesting story to know. Thank you for telling.
