My weekend 3/9 - 3/11

Friday I finally got time to see the cough cushion. The seams had fallen apart in the wash after the puppy wet on them in excitement earlier in the week. I managed to also finally finish the book I was reading by Tami Hoag called “Dark Horse”. It took me over a month to finish it as I’ve been active online more. Saturday my kids and I had a babies first birthday to go to. It was nice catching up with a few family members. The banquet hall was beautiful and the spread of food looked great however the underside of the pizza was burnt and the cake was the blandest cake I’ve ever eaten. I did enjoy the veggie platter a lot though. Afterwards we got groceries and went looking for boots for my daughter and I. We did not find her combat boots or winter boots for myself but I was able to buy myself a pair of rain boots on sale from $50 originally to $15 that I paid. You can see them in my photo. My boyfriend, his son and dog came over last night and spayed overnight. I didn’t get any sleep as he snored all night. I got up and made my son breakfast and took the dogs out for a walk. It was still deep snow down back so it was hard to walk in. I decided to follow the puppies lead and run back to the house. Bad idea with not having eaten and exercise endured asthma also effected by cold temperatures. I got pretty close the house and started to faint. I had to kneel down on the ground twice then again as soon as I got in the door. I did the dishes once I recovered and had coffee but the faint sick feeling lasted all day I just don’t feel right and am exhausted. My boyfriend made breakfast. I made lunch and then for dinner I made my son chicken spiedies, my daughter fettucine, his son chicken noodle soup, and my boyfriend and myself baked macaroni and cheese. I also made black bottom cupcakes as they are my boyfriends favorite.

Sounds like it's been good there. Sounds like an exciting 1st birthday party to attend but bummer the cake was bland & the pizza was burnt. I would not like either especially since I love pizza =) Those boots are cute!

@infatuatedbby I had ranch dressing left over on my plate from the veggies so I dipped the pizza in that so I could eat it. I hate eating burnt food but didn't want to be rude and waste it.

We call those sort of boots 'wellingtons'. Yours look very snazzy. That's a bit of a hassle to make different meals for everybody.

@jaboUK I was thinking someone here called her rain boots Wellys but I wasn't positive. Reminds me I do not think I I have seen a post from that girl in quite some time I will have to try to think of her name and see if she has posted lately and make sure I am following her.

You fell thrice in a day? Do you know what must have caused that fall? If it is serious, you have to go and see a doctor.

@mydanods I'm fine today. Had my coffee, took my iron pills and am relaxing next to my son while he does his school work. I won't go for a longer walk or run until it warms up.

@mydanods I didn't actually fall but when I started to faint each time I bent down to the ground to keep from falling. If I tipped over from my knees I wouldn't be hurt as badly as if I were standing up. I assume my iron is low and my airway was probably restricted from the asthma is what caused it.

@shaggin Since you can isolate the cause start working on it.

It is horrible to sleep near someone who snores. I am lucky my husband is silent as a mouse. Asthma is a serious matter, I hope you are fine now.

@LadyDuck He usually doesn't snore which is lucky. He wasn't snoring loud but any noise keeps me awake. Usually if he lays on his side the snoring stops but it didn't this time.

@shaggin Yes, rain boots like those wouldn't offer warmth in the snow, but would be perfect on a rainy day. Perhaps your bf had a bit of congestion.

The boots are cute, too bad they are not warm as well. Be careful of your asthma.

@GardenGerty it will hopefully warm up over the next few months so I can deal being out short periods of time with the rain boots. I'd rather chilly feet with them then we feet like my other boots. I think they are cute though too and we're a good price!

@jstory I'm so used to doing it. It's a lot of cooking each day just for my kids and I as we don't eat the same things.

@Tampa_girl7 thank you. I saw some nice ones at Aldi's about the same price yesterday but I'd guess the quality wouldn't have been as good since the ones I bought were originally $50.

Sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you're feeling better soon. We make different things for meals too, as my brother eats things that my mom and I dont, and him and I eat tacos, which she dont. And they eat frozen pizza and porkchops which i dont. Etc. Plus sometimes you have a craving for something, but others dont. It happens. Lol. Not going to force people to eat things they dont like. Those are cute rainboots! And a great price! Ugh.. bad tasting foods. And thats sad about the cake. Should be the most important part of the party! Maybe people had allergies or something so they just did a plain cake?

@Courtlynn the place she ordered the cake make it look beautiful they spelled her name wrong. The frosting tasted like they just dyed cool whip and put it on. I've never had frosting be so tasteless like that before. That is possible it could be made a certain way due to allergies. Some gluten free products taste bland. I'm glad to hear others who understand why so many dishes are served. I've gotten some really rude comments about it on Facebook in the past. I post little there now.

@andriaperry I forget I can't go for even a long walk when it's cold or I can't breathe. Running in the cold was a really dumb idea. I always forget what will happen.

The faint feeling is a result of the asthma?

@Kandae11 Yes I assume that was mostly the cause but running when I haven't eaten was a bad idea as well. I get light headed easy.

@snowy22315 It was but it was a good weekend. His dog is shedding so I have a lot of vacuuming to do today. I did two loads of dishes yesterday and had a third to do after all that cooking but I figured I'd wash the last load today I hate doing dishes.

You're lucky that your boyfriend still make good breakfast for you. Maybe you should have ear plugs to keep close your ears from his snoring.

@Letranknight2015 He mostly made the breakfast for him and his son but insists I eat some too since he thinks I will get diabetes with how poorly I eat.
