Daylight Saving - Yes or No?

Here in Victoria, Australia, our clocks will go back an hour on April 1st, whilst many places in the northern hemisphere either have recently or will soon set theirs forward an hour. What do you think about daylight saving? Love it or hate it? And why?
Personally, I love it - not for the extra hour of daylight in the evening, but for the extra hour of dark in the morning. I tend to wake up with the light, no matter how dark I try to make my bedroom. Without daylight saving here, that would mean waking around 4 am - YUCK! Very happy when the clocks go forward and 4am becomes 5 am, even if it is only sleight of hand.

I like the daylight savings time since it is more daylight. The only negative is losing one hour of sleep. I can live with it.

We just switched to DST here in the United States this past weekend. I love it for the same reason you do...it stays darker in the morning. My body always wakes up at the slightest hint of light, which drives me crazy on weekends when I have nothing planned and want to sleep in late!

@lynnief No matter how much I want to sleep in on weekends, I always end up waking up at the same time I do during the weekdays...which is to say before the sun rises. It frustrates me because everybody else in my family sleeps in late. The only nice thing is that I get to drink my coffee and myLot in peace and quiet.

It might have to be done to keep up with our seasons. I go an hour ahead here in Canada
