I'm back from my trip West. I drove an hour and a half to my friend's house then she drove us over/through two mountain passes and there, the town next over from my state's capitol. In that town sits the house that my hubby and I are buying. The photo shows its front inside porch. Yes I am deliriously in love with the old beauty. Its charmed me into a swoon. We must wade through paper work and more paper work and get certified checks written and sent and detail after detail but our offer has been accepted. I can put more photos in the comments section.

That's wonderful news. I hope you'll be very happy in your new home. Do you have to sell your old one?

@JudyEv Probably so. Its just about impossible to rent a place out when you live so far from the place.

The enclosed porch reminds me a lot of the one on the porch I lived in when I was born and for the next 5 years or so.

Enjoy your new house. That means you are making a drastic change from where you used to live. You will have fond memories of the old town and you will build lasting friendships in the new town.
