How early do you book an airplane ticket? / myLot

In general, the airplane ticket will be better if you can buy it earlier. How early will you book the airplane ticket? I think 3 months is the earliest time for me. If I book it so early, sometimes I am afraid whether my plan can be carried out since there are so many unknown in the future.

It depends on where and when are you going. In my country, it is difficult to get a ticket during the children´s vacations to some places.

When is the children's vacations in your country? Here the children will have summer vacation in July and August and they will have winter vacation in late January or early February.

Book it 2 or 3 months early. If you have to cancel, no problem with that.

Usually the airplane tickets I buy can not be cancelled or I have to pay a lot to cancel it or change another date.

@youless They'll charge you if you cancel. So, that is why you need to plan in advance to make sure this doesn't happen.

I haven't gone on a airplane in such a long time. Although I would imagine that it's best to try and plan ahead, as opposed to last minute.

Well, it depends on the promo or sale of the airline company, usually I always wait for the sale before purchasing a ticket plane to get a big discount.

Usually about 3 months like you do but it is hard to know sometimes if that will be the best time.

I book as soon as know when I am scheduled or finalized my trip. I have just booked our tickets for my next tour due in last week of June. I will save at least 40% on price of tickets compared to what if I would have booked before a week or two before my trip.
