When 1975 rolled in the biggest song was sung by duo Captain and Tennille “Love Will Keep Us Together”. From what I know love did not keep them together and I did not find this a great love song. This song was written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Green field and was originally recorded by Neil Sedaka. The song of the year was “The Way We Were” by Barbara Streisand. The best song and one I really like was “Thunder Road” by Bruce Springsteen. It was also written by Springsteen and is ranked one of his greatest songs. Rolling Stone magazine has it listed at number 86 on their list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. What is your opinion?
One of the world's greatest songs ever. From his 1975 album BORN TO Run.

Not a huge Bruce fan, but that song is marvelous. And dang, he puts on a show and a half.

And I thought Springsteen was the one singer everyone liked @FourWalls but still he gets around. Another singer I really like is Billy Joel and it surprises me that his songs are not popping up on lists of best songs.

@RasmaSandra — a lot of people don’t like him because of his voice or his politics (or both). I think Jim Croce conveyed the “blue collar life” much better. But I don’t “hate” Springsteen. I’ve seen him twice.

Streisand has a great voice, but I'll take Springsteen, even though I'm not a big fan.

That's just it @JudyEv I keep writing about the songs that made a sensation during all the years up to today and quite a few of them ake me wonder what people enjoyed about them. Oh, well there is still a whole big world of music out there to explore.
