Good Wednesday morning to us all. It is my off day today but I have some priorities to do.
I have to finalise the evaluation and grades of the last 2 groups of students that I handled. The one last week, I had to wait for the submission of their requirements because they forgot it last Friday, which prompted me to give them minus 5 grades each from their knowledge evaluation.
This 9am I and my sister will go to the transportation office (LTO) for the emission testing of the car.
I won't be here much today because I have my hands full. If I have time I will come and interact. .

it was a scorching hot day this morning and the traffic was so difficult to drive through. the emission was finished in 10 minutes only, but our travel time was about an hour.

@ridingbet I am not sure, Kabsat. According to the manager, it would be one year project. Hopefully, they will give another set next week.

a long tube is inserted inside the exhaust pipe while the engine car is ignited. the smoke coming out should be clear or white. if it is black, the emission test fails.

We have to get the emission tests for our cars too, although they're nicknamed "smog tests". This is the first state that I lived in that required it, although I think it's a great idea.

indeed. sometimes when i drive, i see some cars emitting black smoke from the exhaust pipes, so black that it also smells black.

@ridingbet I saw a car doing that the other day and commented, "someone hasn't gone in for their smog test!" It was a vintage car though, and they have different requirements. I still think they are required to pass certain emission standards all the same, so I wonder if the driver could have been ticketed for driving a car in that condition.

@spiderdust good, because the car registration will expire at the end of this month, that is why we did that last Wednesday.
if that car is vintage, maybe the smoke coming out was already black?

Ouch, minus 5 is a huge points a student can loss. Wednesday is my last day on my work week. I will be on off tomorrow and Friday.

yes ah. i gave a student a grade of 75 because her output was not properly done. it had so many loopholes. my ceiling grade is usually 85%. any deduction is -51. for the 2 students, they are given a -5, so the student with 75 has the previous grade of 80.
