Are you an optimist

I can't able to decide which category I belongs to. Sometimes I think positively and sometimes I think negatively .Situations makes me to float between these two terms positive and negative. I can't able to make wise decision sometimes . In my point of view both should be taken in order to make a wise decision on something . Am I correct? Suggest your views..

I try to be an optimist most of the time. There are times when you need to step aside and look at the possible negatives of something, but it's best not to remain there. A book that I found very helpful was Learned Optimism by Martin E P Seligman. It was written about 30 years ago, but I think it is still available.
Yeah you are. Not all situation would require us to be optimistic but optimistic people can spring back to being positive easily than the pessimist. Pessimist usually tend to dwell more on the negative. And they always see more of the negative all the time. Their minds are close to everything that' wrong that they cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. Of course there are days when we would feel down and al little bit pessimistic but that doesn't make us a pessimistic person at all when we could bounce back immediately to see the positivity of things.
