Kicked out of the restaurent

Im sort of laughing over this.
We went sunday for our breakfast. About 9 of us showed up.
I had emailed ahead to make sure we had a table or seating within reach.
So about an hour into our breakfast (many still eating) the waitress came over and started trying to take our plates.
We all grabbed them back and the lady goes 'its time to leave'. My friend was so outraged and making a scene.
I left paid for my food then not giving a tip. Sadly, the food was good and we would of been back.

No, you paid per item. I believe it was because we hsd a larger group. Some were still eating a nd othrr finishing the coffee.

I guess giving tips doesnt assure one of having courtesy and manners.

@ricki_911 Thats just sad. I would not give a tip if the server is rude. You give tip as a way of showing appreciation for the service and the food.

damn that's rude.i've seen people tell teenagers to move on if they're just nursing one coffee,but not food..

I can see if it was hours yes. Like when i worked in a coffee shop when 1 of 20 buy a coffee. But we all got a meal and coffee was maybe an hour and a half.

Did you ask her why it was time to leave. You should be able to take your time eating.

Never heard if this, Poor customer service if they could not give a good reason for doing this.
