Diary Wednesday 14th March 2018 A quiet day as the voluntary work I thought I was booked for was not on today, and it turned into a day for staying in, writing, reading, and watching TV instead. Sad to hear of the death of TV quiz show presenter and comedian, Jim Bowen and the even wore news of the death of Professor Stephen Hawking, possibly the greatest intellect since Einstein. Diary Thursday 15th March 2018 The Ides Of March day commemorating the assassination of Julius Caesar. This was my welfare hearing day, an event I always dread. I expected conflict over a/. the recent interview I had that didn’t lead directly to a job, and friction when I finally announced that I will be on holiday during the signing on session immediately before Easter. To my surprise my advisor never asked about the interview and can’t see me near Easter as he is also away, so I don’t need to see him again until 10th April. Whoo! I called in the library for an hour before going to the community centre to do some job searching there, but their computers were offline and that was not possible in the end but it wa nice to see some friends there. Back home I complained that a book ordered and paid for via Amazon hasn’t arrived, from a seller with a reputation for sending goods out later than he claims on Amazon. He refunded me and told me it must be lot in transit, as if I am being unreasonable daring to flag the matter as a concern. I’ll reorder the book from someone else next month. Arthur Chappell

A few years ago I was looking for a certain movie and found it on Amazon. I ordered it and didn't pay any attention to where it was coming from. I waited and waited until it seemed way too long. I checked at that time and saw that it was coming from England. It took about three weeks to receive it.

@celticeagle that has happened to me sometimes. This item was promised by a given date and Amazon even asked for reviews of it as if I had recieved it - I checked reviews of the sender and found some buyers were waiting three months for their goods over the expected delivery dates. It just smacks of poor effort with the postage by the seller

That is great that there was no conflict as he will be on vacation at the same time as you.

Good news about the welfare hearing. April 10 is quite a distance off.

There are times when we worry about something and it turns out just fine. I have found that many times when I do not worry - then a problem arises. That welfare meeting must have been a pleasant surprise.

Yes good you flagged that seller...they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. And yes so sad about Stephen and the other man too. Glad your guy will be on holiday while you are as well. Have a pleasant weekend Arthur.
