Donald Trump Jr. and his wife are calling it quits after 12 years of marriage and five children. It is reported that the couple were living separate lives for awhile now. Vanessa filed for divorce on Thursday in the Manhattan Supreme court. If you recall, Vanessa and other family members were hospitalized just a month ago after she opened an envelope with powdery substance. It was later determined the contents were harmful. Have you ever tried to talk a friend or relative out of having a divorce?

Yes, I tried to talk someone out of getting a divorce, it's a big waste of time.

@Freelanzer Instead of seeking help, many just throw in the towel and give up.

Did not get to hear the news about the envelope incident at all. Neither did I know he was getting divorced. Usually we only get news about his Father and that is not very often sometimes.

Lucky you. We get way too much news about the dad. Just seems everyone is obsessed that I simply have to tune out. Luckily the envelope didn't contain anything dangerous but how scary that must have been for her.

@Freelanzer Good job it did not contain anything dangerous for her or anyone. It must have been very scary for her also. I suppose that we are lucky in that sense and I I heard about the bad accident with the bridge that was really sad though.

No. When things get to that point I wouldn't try to talk a friend out of it. I am wondering when Trump Seniors wife will have had enough.

@Freelanzer ......I think she is staying until their boy is older. I commend her if that is the case.

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps this will give her the courage she needs.

I would not be happy to live where harm could come to me or my loved ones.

Same here. It is a scary thing to happen to anyone even when it turns out to be nothing.

It seems that by the time someone is discussing a potential divorce, their mind is already set on it. Right now a friend of mine is "thinking" about leaving her husband . . . I see them as a wonderful family, but she is not happy. No matter what I say, I think her mind is already made up about it.

That is too bad. As much it may look from the outside like it a happy family, not easy to tell what is really going on.

@Freelanzer True. She told me things that completely blew me away - I had no idea. We never know what happens behind closed doors.

I think it would be a tough life living in the spotlight so much - not to mention having Donald as an in-law.

It is tough being in the public especially when she didn't ask for it and yes the orange guy probably didn't help

Wow he scary that she had to be hospitalized due to that. I remember that was a worry when I was a teen for awhile about anthrax. I have never ever heard of this couple before.

Yes I remember working at the post office when we had to evacuate a couple times because of powdery substance in the mail. Just glad it wasn't serious but could be frightening anyway

They must have come to the point where they had no choice but to go separate ways.

this is the first time i read this news. i wonder if who put the powdery substance in an envelop and was this the main reason why they are getting a divorce?

I thought that might have been the last straw. Not sure who did it but someone wanted to scare her for sure.

@Freelanzer that is a very dangerous scare or an early April Fools' prank.

Yes she was at her mother when it happened and her mom also was taken to the hospital, Seems someone wanted to send a cruel message but you can imagine the fear.

@Freelanzer I am sorry it is happening for them but if it is the best thing for all of them then it is the best possible solution. It is up to the couple what they want to do. They have to do what is best for them and their family. For me divorcing my ex was the best thing for me and my animals I had at the time. it was not a healthy situation for any of us.
