mylot’s Posted Discussions: “Can We Published It as Our Own?”

I am browsing things up on myLot and noticed that I had more than a thousand posted discussions. The question is “Can we retrieved them and published as our own?” I think it is worth to keep the copy. In addition, it is the product of our thoughts over something and considered to be an intellectual property. Unless it is owned by myLot now.
“Do you back up your writings here?”
“Can we collect them and be published in a hard book?”
“What do you think about this concern?”

I believe you can since it is your writing and not protected by myLot. I don't have anything that is worth keeping haha though it would be fun to make a little journal of all my stuff.

@DesirousDreamer During the old days, I do write my journal. Now, I can't do it anymore. But then, mylot is a good option.

@Shavkat I think it would be fun to keep a journal just to see what I was working on that day or my emotions. I always wanted to do that, I just never done it.

Some sites like virily can use your ideas as they see fit! They claim rights over your posts. That's what was in n their terms of service. I didn't like that at all!!! But I didn't see such a thing in my lots terms of service!!

I don´t know. Yet, I think that most of the posts I have written here are not the kind of thing that I would want to have published as a book. The posts are alright here, but are not works of art.

An interesting discussion. I would think it would be OK as long as they don't appear anywhere else online. It can be difficult to sell a self-published book as there is so much competition but it might be good to print up a few (inexpensively) as gifts for your family and friends.

@Shavkat That could take some time - there are a lot of them. You are very prolific.

Whatever you publish here is yours. It belongs to you. You can do with your discussions whatever you wish. If you want to make a book out of them you can do it.
I do not back up my discussions but perhaps I should. They might come in handy one day. There are a lot of them to back up. It's gonna take a long time.

@lovebuglena I agree. It would save time and energy. I hope the admin can add this feature.

@Shavkat What I should have done was this... Every time I posted a discussion I should have copied it into Word. Then I wouldn't have to worry about this.
I have a lot of stuff on HubPages and I never copied articles into Word after writing them so now I have hundreds to copy. :( I did some a while back but still a lot more to go...

This is a place where we interact with each other. Whenever we see a person has posted something we see it and if we feel for it then we send a note through comment box. Yes we use intellectuality of our brains but It's a thought towards something. Books are published for learning purposes, to know something about the world. Thoughts are good for fun, chattering, views etc..i don't think it will be good for hard copy.

Not on here, but I did when I was writing on Bubblews. I think you probably can publish them as a book.

From many of these responses seems like you can publish your posts in a book. You wrote it, why not?
