I am not a big fan of country and western music. But this one I like.The year 1949 It hit number one. Margaret Whiting and Jimmy Wakely. "Slipping around" Many here will not remember this. Maybe a few. yes it is early and need to rest. The photo is mine.You may have seen this. the last painting that I bought

I just know that Floyd Tillman wrote it and had the first recording of it. I also remember Ernest Tubb's version. Oh, and that this was the only song not by Eddy Arnold to be #1 for nearly two years.

This is a beautiful painting Alfredo, looking at it is relaxing, you feel yourself on the hills in a quiet place without traffic and pollution. No matter where int he world.

Maybe the title is a play on words. sleeping around as opposed to slipping around.

My mom and dad would play this off and on as I was growing up. I used to moan about it and then later as I got older I enjoyed the older western songs.

Well, I don't remember it (it was a little more than a decade before I was born!), but I definitely know the song. Floyd Tillman wrote it and had the first recording of it. Of course, back then, when someone recorded a song and had a hit everyone and his brother came along and covered it.
