Slow But Sure

Seems like it has taken me forever to clear out this one section of the homestead, I reckon because I had to quit to get the money maker back into action. Today I hauled off a truck load and I unloaded it when we got there. I did not feel like cutting more when I got back home so I did another project, clean my stuff out of my old car that I am giving to my sister, One day I parked it and it never started again, she wants the car so its hers, but I have to pay for it to be hauled to her place. I also cleaned out Tony`s old truck, he wants to sell it and I am all for it, this yard is piled with cars and trucks. But one good thing that happened today was seeing another cousin, he has a backhoe and a dump truck, he also owns a mountain of dirt he is selling and I have a driveway that needs filled. I also need 4 lots cleared off and asked him to take a look and let me know the price. If I can get that started, it means 4 more pay days in the future, I would even consider leasing the lots for trailers. My leg/ankle is healing but I still have a limp and I am still walking slow, some times the pain is bad but it is healing and I have not allowed it to put me down. How was your Friday?

Oh sorry to hear your ankle is not healed yet. Good you saw that cousin then and that he may be able to help you with that other stuff. Friday is okay here. I hope tomorrow will be good for St Pats Day here.

It is Saturday morning here now. It is quite tiring tasks there, my friend. I think you can put a bandage on your ankle. I think it will be a great help.

What a busy lady you are. I hope everything works out so you can get things done that you want done. It has been a long day for me. I went to town planning on only being gone for a few hours. It turned into almost 6 hours. Oh well, I got a lot done.

Friday was shopping day for my son. He's really into clothes and shoes. It was his birthday on the 14th and he got a Nike Jordan shoes from his dad and an Adidas Pure Boost from me. And he received money from his godfather and grandmother. He decided to use the money for shopping Friday. He had fun buying clothes and shoes he really liked.

That is very responsible to buy shoes and clothing instead of toys or junk.

@andriaperry We tend to find that too - about jobs getting done. I'll have a great long list but suddenly we're back to 'what shall we do today'.

That is true but it seems once I get started they all line up and gt done. I have the dog area ready to be fenced and the other clean out won`t take no more than a couple days The 4 lots will take a while for me to get it as I want them to look. The drive way wont take long either and I will pay for it to be done.

@andriaperry Thank you, I'm more freaking waiting for results on the cancer test of the uterus. Hubby has been great too, but he has to go back to work tomorrow he took all he could off and pushed it with them. I will take it easy thou, and just do very little. I'm afraid of bending over so... lol Plus it isn't going so easy to get another doctors appointment for a check up on the incision. Ugh!

I have been where you are now, you will make it and ya know what? All that will get done or it won`t, but it surely will be waiting for you if it doesnt. Don`t be afraid to ask for help, people will do for you because you are always so kind and helpful to others.

Lucky day to meet that cousin, so you can have the dirt to fill the driveway. Have you seen a doctor for your leg/ankle? I know it's slow to heal.

I am glad your ankle is healing. I was so dismayed to hear mine was broken, I was hoping it was just dislocated and could be popped back into place. Ankle injuries are nothing to mess with. I'm glad you're not letting it get you down. I have surprisingly kept a good sense of humor despite everything. I can't wait to be able to get back up on both feet and just do normal things again. You don't realize how much you take walking for granted until you can't do it!

@andriaperry Yes! I hate getting up to use the bathroom. And I can't take a shower because I have no way to get into the tub (there's no way I could hop over the edge on one foot!) Maybe once I get a real cast on my leg and am better at maneuvering myself around, I'll be able to shower using one of those shower chairs. But for now it's sponge baths and letting someone else wash my hair in the sink. The first day I couldn't even get off the toilet by myself, but thankfully I have gotten better at that. It's so humiliating having to rely on others to help you with basic things!

@Srbageldog OH how I understand that! Once my back went out and I could not wipe my own butt and my boyfriend did it for me.... It was humiliating for me also. Being hurt and having others do for me did humble me, it made me realize one day I will need people to do all that for me, when I am old.

I'm glad your ankle is healing. It's good you're getting rid of a couple vehicles, and have a cousin to help with clearing your lots, and getting your driveway taken care of. My Friday was very good. I finished the second edit and revision for Thread of Evidence. It still needs going over as I'm not satisfied yet with it.

@andriaperry I didn't do well in English, but I've learned a lot, being forced to edit my own. I got some very helpful books on editing. Word is also helpful.

I would have to pay some one to edit any book I wrote, since I absolutely hated English at school.
