Happy St. Patrick's Day

Okay, I just had to wish everyone a great day. I'm Irish, a quarter as my mother was half Irish and half French. It's always been my favorite non-holiday, holiday. Yes, I'm wearing green. I have a green pair of slacks, and two green shirts on. One is a turtleneck, and the other is a short sleeve green print shirt.
I stopped at Aldi on my way home from my son's to get a corned beef brisket, which is now in the oven.
I had a wonderful afternoon with my son and grandson. It's laundry day. It's always a great day when I can spend it with them. With one son having disowned me, and a daughter who rarely speaks to me, it's good that I have one person who likes to spend time with me.
My son had some errands to run while I was there, but returned as my last load was almost finished in the dryer and asked me to hang out with him and watch a movie. So, that's just what I did.
Movie review - Passengers
I've been wanting to get this movie and watch it. Now, it's on my to-buy list. It's about two passengers on the Starship Avalon, awake 90 years before they're supposed to be, and a robot bartender who pours drinks and listens to problems and for two people awake among 5000 passengers, those problems might not seem like a lot, but being alone can be problematic in itself.
I loved the movie and give it a definite 5 stars and two thumbs up. I hope you have a chance to see it if you haven't.
So, that has been my day. No, writing yet, and I don't know if I will. I did finish the second edit and revision of Thread of Evidence yesterday, but I know there's still a lot more for me to do, before I'm satisfied with it. I do hope to publish it this year. We'll see.
How are you celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Are you Irish, or only Irish on St. Patrick's Day?

@celticeagle I'm finishing up my corned beef, but I'm not a fan of cabbage.

Only Irish on St. Patrick's Day since I am of French and Latin ancestry. However there is a Saint Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles.

St. Patrick's Day has been around for a very long time. I don't know when it got started. People where green for Ireland, and traditionally go out and get drunk as the Irish like to drink. I've never done that, but I do celebrate with corned beef, another tradition that includes cabbage, but I've never been a fan of cabbage, so I only eat the corned beef and have potatoes with it.
Originally though, it celebrated St. Patrick bringing Christianity to Ireland.

It sounds like you had a great day. I am not Irish that I know of..but it would hardly surprise to know I have it in my family tree somewhere..my grandmother was of Welsh extraction. Anyway, I enjoy being Irish on the day.
