Do you do any kind of craft? If you do, do you just make things for yourself and friends, or do you sell them? I knit and do cross stitch. I can do very basic crochet, but can't follow a crochet pattern. I knit for myself, and when my grandchildren were small I used to knit for them. I have also made quite a few things to sell for charity. When I have the time (and money) to spare, I would love to learn pottery and leadlighting.

I used to do a lot of crochet and ended up making crochet items for sale. I don't do so much nowadays although recently I made a heap of little beanies for premature babies.

That's great Judy. Have you seen the octopuses you can crochet for premies? Apparently the tentacles seem to them like an umbilical cord, and give them comfort.
Who knew that an octopus could be a premmie's best snuggle-buddy - with health benefits to boot!

I'm good at crafts. I started sewing clothes for myself at the age of 14. I knitted several pullovers. I crocheted woollen caps. I did some pottery. I made several items with enamel. I really can't remember all the techniques I used over the years. Now I only make paper stars for Christmas. Occasionally I sell some.
I can't say when I started making paper stars for the Christmas season. I've grown up with them. My mother learnt to do them when she was a young woman and made...

I also make photo postcards. I sold them for over ten years privately and at a stationer's shop. Now I make them only for my own use or as presents.
The famous American photographer Garry Winogrand (1928 - 1984) said, 'I photograph to see what things look like photographed.' This may sound silly, but it's...

I quilt and sew. Most of my quilts are given as gifts. Very few people are willing to pay for the time it takes to create a quilt.

Sadly true of any craft, Morley. Quilting is something I would like to learn if I can ever find the time. I have seen some truly stunning quilts.
