My baby is not taking nap again?!

My baby boy has always been taking two hour nap in the afternoon. Whenever it's time, he would come to me and wanted to fall asleep.
Yesterday, I have always been asking him to sleep and spent an hour together with him in the bed, but he still didn't fall asleep and wanted to leave the bedroom at last. He didn't fall asleep in the evening too, and stayed awake until night time. Just now, I tried to let him sleep and we spent an hour in the bed again.
Is it time for him to skip nap time already? He is not even two years old now, though my little girl has skipped nap time when she was over one and a half year old, and she was able to sleep earlier at night. I will still try to let my baby boy take a nap in the afternoon, but if he really doesn't, it might also be good as he can sleep earlier at night too.
Kids grow up really fast....

Every kid is different. My daughter stopped taking naps just about as soon as she hit a year old if I remember correctly.

It sounds like he is just about ready to give up his nap. I hope he will go to sleep earlier at night for you.
