Stepped In What?

Invincible. That is a word that has popped up in my head this morning as I read discussions here at mylot. The doctor telling a man to stop smoking, the man saying " that wont happen to me!" many years later laying drugged down and on life support just to live, in return for being a loyal customer he gets lung cancer. The hard head that resembles the energizer bunny, she can get it done because that is what she does, slides down in mud, has to sit down to butt walk up a flight of steps to get inside her home. The beauty queen, the one that made fun of people, stricken with a brain tumor that left her beautiful face partially paralyzed. Do things just happen? Or do they happen for a reason? Once an old man, proud with many children was stricken with Rheumatoid arthritis, bed ridden for many years. A burden to his family. He gave his life to God. He got up and walked, mind you that his body was all knotted up and twisted, he became a preacher. This man thrived, making his own garden, driving and helping others. When this old man did not hear what you had said he never asked what? or huh? he always said " Stepped in what?" That is my morning thoughts with the second cup of coffee. How is your Sunday going? Soon I will watch the preacher man on t.v. and then I intend on cleaning my filthy house. Have a wonderful day each and every one of you.

Only God knows what is supposed to happen to people or not. We as humans can think all we like about who deserves what, but we are not the master.

I´m about to take my first cup of coffee. But I am invencible. I just climbed on a small bench and got the 7 champagne glasses from the top of the shelves I need for the dinner I´m giving tonight. As Murphy´s Laws go, the glasses are a bit dusty and I will have to wash them. I´ll go now for the coffee.

I think things mostly just happen but does God give us what we need to be saved? Maybe!!

I just made myself a cup of coffee. I don't usually have it on weekends but I figured why not?

I think sometimes things happen for a reason, other times they are random. Think about the little kids that are stricken with an incurable disease. Why would God..choose to victimize them? I know an evangelical will give you several different reasons for this..but sometimes things just happen, and some situations are unfortuanate and simply tragic.

When I hurt my back I had to butt walk about 100 yards to the house. I didn't know that was the term for that type of locomotion but it sure fits the action.

I think it's human nature to have an "it won't happen to me" mentality. Some people just never lose that as they get older.
