I want a do over

Today was one of those days that just did not work, and things just cascaded in awful ways. It wasn't the worst day ever, but it definitely wasn't great. I don't want to go into great detail about parts of it and I don't think I could have done anything differently, but things were definitely stressful and frustrating.
Later, I tried to get an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts to soothe my frustrations (we don't have many of those around here, but the person taking the stepkids home was going by one of the 2 in the area on her way back). I had a mobile gift card that I had used a few times already, and had just enough left on it to order my beverage (or so I thought).
Nope! I was FOUR CENTS SHORT. 
I didn't want to spend another $5 to reload my gift card, especially since the whole idea was to have a free treat for myself, so I just didn't get anything.
Even later in the evening, I attempted again to put a better slant on the day, and something happened that reminded me that my neighborhood is changing, and not necessarily for the better.
Y'know I don't want a do over after all. I'm ready to put today behind me and never look at it again.

My Sunday has not been great. I was sick during all Saturday night, I do not know the reason, horrible stomach and tummy pain. I only rested a few hours in the early morning. Sunday has been cold and rainy. I had urgent things to do that I could not postpone. I am glad it's over.

@spiderdust Yesterday really was a bad Sunday. Today is a catholic holiday here (St Joseph), so it's almost like Sunday.

Sounds like those events took the fun out of the day. You are right, not the worst, but close to it. Nothing like expecting a good relaxing fun day, only for things to say not today.

Sunday was good and bad for me. Tony was in one of the "I wanna go moods." I was in a wanna stay home and clean this filth moods. At the moment he does not go anywhere alone because of the cancer. I ended up ditching house work and took him to a freakin grocery store 15 miles away.

I can sympathize with that. I've had entire weeks where nothing seemed to work in my favor. I just survived one of those weeks recently. I was low on funds and was expecting a cheque in the mail from my publisher. I waited all week but it never came. I really needed a few things so I decided I would try selling some of my books to a used book store for some extra money. The books I had were gems from authors of great standing like Shakespeare, Leo Tolstoy, George Eliot...etc.
I took them to a used bookstore in my neighborhood and was told they didnt give cash. They only give "credit". Well....that helps me doesn't it?...NOT!! I get a $30 gift certificate that I have to spend at their store! That's not going to get me any food is it?
A few days later I broke my wrist when I fell on some ice.
When my cheque FINALLY arrived I thought I could take it to the nearest ATM and deposit it into my bank account. WRONG! I had to walk 20 blocks to my bank to deposit it! By this time I was wily.
So yeah. I know exactly how you feel when faced with these annoying challenges. ~sigh~
