How many passwords do you use?

I was always told that it is bad to use the same password for all sites and although I used to do that because it meant I never forgot it I have started to use five or six now to make sure that I am safer. I also change my paypal password now and then since I had a scare where I thought someone had accessed my account.. I keep them written down in a little book which I have hidden and that seems to work although occasionally I will change one and forget to write it down. Most sites let you change your password if you have forgotten or lost it but I noticed with Steemit this is not the case and if you lose it you are locked out of the site. How many passwords do you use for your online sites and do you change them frequently?

I have like two or three passwords that I keep. Too much and different for every account gets me confused.

@mlgen1037 Yes there's nothing worse than trying to get into a site and not being able to.

I use same password for all the sites. If I change I used to change all of them .I didn't have PayPal account. Is there is any other possible way to withdraw.

I don't think there is @Iamkitty but if you use a strong password your account will be safe.

@Iamkitty I think that's a good idea. I probably don't change mine enough.

Personally, I used different passwords on different sites. I usually put them on my small notebook. I do this because there is an instance that my yahoo account was almost hacked.

@Shavkat Yes I have a little book and hide it so that no one knows where it is but me.

@sprite1950 As for me, even I scattered it at home. I wrote them in Russian characters. It is totally safe.

@sprite1950 I am quite an old school, my friend. I prefer to have the small notebook since it is handy.

@LadyDuck I've always been a little nervous about doing that although it's probably the safest way.

@sprite1950 No, I use a password manager and I have them in an encrypted form save on my hard disk. Of course I also have a backup on an external disk.

I use different passwords on every site. At Steemit I make a habit of changing password too especially when I use third party websites or when I use android device because I don't trust android devices. I also bought anonymous account thru BlockTrades.us and let them back up my password, I do not change it so in case I lost password for that account BlockTrades could retrieve it for me.

I always change my paypal password regularly since I almost got scammed. Luckily I realised there was something wrong before I started giving out details.

I try to make mine strong without being too complicated but often I think I have made a strong one and it registers as weak or medium.

I use different passwords but these follow a pattern that is only privy to me.

That's clever. I just keep an abbreviated form of a password to remind me what I used for a site, not the whole thing.

My nephew says three is about right then if you find one won't work you know it must be one of the others.
