Birthdays. My babies aren't babies anymore.

It's after midnight here on the east coast of the United States. Last week, my daughter celebrated her 15th birthday. Today, is the first day of spring, but most importantly to me, it is my son's 17th birthday. Time sure has flown. To think that at this point in time all those years ago I was in the hospital strapped to machinery so they could monitor his heart rate and they were inducing my labor. Here he is today, just a year shy of being a "man". I don't care how old he is. He will always be my baby boy.
My daughter is growing into a young woman, but again she will always be my baby girl. We didn't do birthday cakes since it was just the 3 of us this year, but we did have a nice time and I did get her a cupcake last week. Alexander is sick unfortunately so he probably won't get any dessert today to celebrate. Poor boy.

She is pretty. Time flies by so quickly that children grow up so fast.

@acrogodess I know how it feels. Even I feel the same for my nephews and nieces who are growing up too fast and having their own lives to deal with.

awww I feel you. My son turned 14 this month and he spent his birthday with friends but had a dinner party with us. These days he spends more time with friends. He will always be my baby and I never fail to tell him that. But I respect that he's growing up as well and needs his space.

I'm 37, so I guess I'm young, but sometimes I don't feel young. Lol
My son does feel better, but unfortunately my daughter is now sick.

She'll have her license in no time. She's had 2 lessons so far. Apparently she has done well. She is studying the manual online
