Passage: Genesis 1 Focal Passage: vs. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31 ESV) God declared His creation as good. He took pride in His work. According to Romans 1:20, Christ is revealed and glorified through His creation: ". For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" Often God-followers are the most abusive or neglectful of God's creation. Some are just selfish and all about pleasing and entertaining themselves. Others fear being labeled a socialist, tree-hugger. Both situations bring dishonor to our Lord. If we want to show others what Christianity looks like, we should be the stewards that God calls us to be. While we are not to worship creation, but the Creator, we are to be mindful of how we care for God's earth.

Yes, action speak louder than words and finding the right balance is important.

Yes, caring for the natural world is part of the mandate that God has given to us. Too often we forget this.
