Into the top five I go with my list of songs that get played and played and played, but I haven't reached the limit on. Not yet, anyway. This is a series that coincided with the list of #1 songs, just to prove I do know a "big hit" or two. Here's today's overplayed FM rock staple. #5: No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature - Guess Who No, NOT Bruce Who. We are so over him. One of the things I love about this song is how both songs are sung simultaneously in the latter half of the tune. Drug references? Well, there's the obvious "a bag of goodies and a bottle of wine," and "new mother nature" could be a pot reference (remember the line in "We're Not Gonna Take It" by the Who: "Hey, you, smoking mother nature, this is a bust"). Randy Bachman, however, is a tea-toddler, so if these are drug references, you can blame Burton for them! You can credit them both for a great, great song. No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature Written by Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings Recorded by the Guess Who From American Woman, 1970 Lonely feeling:
excelente canción que refleja el alto nivel del rock de los años setenta.

It can't be overplayed because I never heard this song before and a #1 at that. It's always American Woman or These Eyes.

Actually, there are many songs by The Guess Who that I never tire of hearing. This was the last Guess Who hit Randy Bachman played on. He went on to form Bachman-Turner-Overdrive and had another batch of songs I never get tired of listening to, lol.

I know what you mean. "Laughing" is on my 100 favorites list. Lots of great, great music from them. And Burton Cummings' voice? Just WOW.

@FourWalls Another great one and I never tire of hearing "No Time." A top ten hit for the group.

It sounds familiar, but not ringing my bell as if I have heard it before. Must be a song that is popular in your area. It sounds pretty good to me though.
