Day Nineteen: Someone who has changed your life. Funny enough, this would be my ex. As not only did he change my life for the worse by abusing me, and by abusing my daughter and making me lose her to the State.. but he also changed it for the better, by finally showing who he really was. As for a year, I only knew what he showed me. Which was lies about smoking and drinking, cheating.. and all different abuse towards me. And although that abuse was bad enough on it's own; I was your typical teen that thought I loved him (I didn't and unfortunately it took some time to figure that out) and would die without him. And that he would change.. So I stayed.. But when I found out he had lied about how my daughter got hurt, and that he had abused her a few times, that was it! No more excuses, or maybe he'll change.. I was done! Things were over. And although it took a lot of time to get over, I was finally able to. And because I did, I was then able to find a great man later on, who I really love and am so thankful for! Someone who doesn't abuse me, drink, smoke, or spend all his time ignoring me to play video games and talk to other girls, etc. But instead helps me, supports me, calls me beautiful and his world, does the little things, and lets us do things I want to do too not just us doing what he wants to do.. etc. And well, I guess it's true, there is some good in every bad.

I am so glad you were able to see him for who he was and that it didn't take a lifetime as I know is the case with some women who live in an abusive situation.

He has his bad moments, as we all do, but nothing even close to my ex. Im very grateful for that. Thank you. 8 years this June. Though many weren't too great so far. But not just his fault, or either of ours

I have had such a rich life that I don't know if there is just 1 person that has changed my life. I mean my Dad, my Gramma, my husband, our kids, and so many near and dear friends. And yourself included in that list.

Never is just one person to change our lives. The post is just picking one.
