Just got the call--no work tomorrow

I'm not surprised that the schools are closed but I *am* kind of shocked that they made the decision so early. They are infamous for putting the call out at 5 am for something that everyone knew was going to happen at 5 pm the night before. Tonight the call actually came at 5 pm!
It is nice not having that uncertainty and knowing that I can just sleep until whenever I want tomorrow morning. There is nothing more frustrating than getting up, starting to get ready, and then finding out that you have the day off.
This was the last snow day that we had built into our calendar. If we get Thursday off too (or any other days off for any other reason), they will start adding days on to the end of the year in June. That is the WORST because my classroom is on the 2nd floor and has no air conditioning. I get really salty when they start tacking on extra days.

Enjoy the break from the brats and hope it is like last year I believe. If I remember right were they had that last one big snow storm but only snowed for one day and was not as bad as they expected.

@NJChicaa You might want to anyway because that sounds cold. I noticed convertibles even with roof up seem colder than cars with a standard roof.

@crossbones27 Mine isn't bad in the winter even when it is frigid outside. It isn't noisy either. It is a great little car. Just not so much on snowy, icy, or snow-packed roads.

@NJChicaa my daughters one teacher last year ran the air conditioning even in the winter to kill germs. My niece has her this year and complains about it too. Doesn't seem right they can do that here but you can't even get air conditioning when you really need it where you are.

It is common for this part of the country. They think that it doesn't get that hot in June or September. (WRONG) My classroom is regularly 85-90 degrees in Sept and June and it even gets up to 95 degrees when we are having a heat wave. Think about a 2nd floor classroom with minimal ventilation, no air conditioning, and no fans. . . it is beyond miserable.

I hope you're back to school Thursday then so you don't have to have extra days at the end of the year.

I'm starting to see closings come across the tv screen. I'm sure our schools will be closed too.

Relax and enjoy the day off. Don't worry about tacked on days until it happens.
