Five year New York Fire Department firefighter Roben Duge who was off duty on Thursday night was walking toward his home in Jamaica Queens New York when he saw smoke coming out of neighbors two story home, The fire was started in the basement when one of the children was playing. The grandchild did not tell her grandmother the two story house was on fire since he was scared of telling his grandmother that the house was on fire. Duge then heard the screams from the children inside the house. Duge then went inside the burning home without his fire equipment and he rescued the grandmother and her two children to safety. The three victims of the house were treated by paramedics in the Duge home. Duge insists he was just doing his job of saving people when he is needed. Crystal Duge who is the wife of Roben calls him "Superman" because of his good character like the alien from Krypton.

God bless Duge. He knew saving life is always a duty, in uniform or without.
