Personality or Appearance ?

I think , personality probably is more important than physical appearance. But most people judge a person by his or her appearance. But for me, I always choose personality over appearance, because in this world nothing is permanent, even our appearance , beauty or good looking it will fade just like bubbles.
How about you guys ? What are your preferences in choosing your friends ? Do you prefer to have a friend with good personality or a good looking friend?

I have all kind of friends and of course personality is more important than looks but some have both and some have neither but they are still my friends.

Well, me too, I have a lot of friends, I am not a choosy person but I always prefer to have a friend who has a good personality.

Personality is way much better than appearance. It's a fact that everybody goes old and physical beauty fades in time.

True. Although I also want to have good looking friend or good looking partner, I prefer to have good personality friends. It for keeps.

@toniganzon That's right. We should be practical , good looking guys are useless if he only knows how make every woman fall for for him but doesn't know how to make a living, and vice versa.

But "love in the moonlight " is one of my favorites.. "I am not a robot" , the heirs, and legend of the blue sea.

Personality is more important but unfortunately we do judge people on the way they look, even if we don't realise it. Everyone likes to see a pretty face but one thing I have noticed is when you get to know someone. even if they don't seem attractive at first, they can become attractive because they shine from within and that shows in their face.

When I think back on it, I was a shy quiet person. I didn't actually approach people to make friends. But the people who became my friends must have thought I was approachable, because they approached me! I was cool with that. It didn't matter what they looked like. If they started a conversation with me I would just talk back! If they decided they liked me and wanted to be my friend, it was fine by me.

It's a nice opinion. And it is definitely correct. Nothing is permanent in this world not even our appearance. But personality lasts long.

I have had some not so good looking friends, I am also not the good looking friend. I love personality, in dating, in friendships. If someone can understand me, can listen to me, love me for my weirdness and are just a beautiful person I will love them. If doesn't matter how pretty or ugly someone is, we are all going to get old, and if we get to be friends until we are 90, who cares what we look like. I still want to laugh at the same jokes.

@DesirousDreamer yes me too. I don't have any preference in choosing friend because no one is perfect as long as you are happy with them and they are not bad people, they are not bad influence regardless of their looks.

Very well said ma'am. I am not also choosy person, every one who has a good intentions approaching me to become friend. I don't mind , even he or she is good looking or not , rich or poor as long as he isn't a bad influence I will surely accept . Because true friend doesn't sees your outside appearance but what is inside your heart is the most important.

Certainly their attitude has a lot to do with it. Looks usually have very little to do with it.
