Taking precautions

I came in direct contact with a sick person today. He is my father in-law. He said that he is having flue-like symptoms and he was coughing badly. Such contact in families is inevitable. I have been sick a lot this year, just recovered from muscle strain too, so I really don't want to get sick again. I got home and immediately made some chamomile with honey. I will drink an orange juice later and then put some extra layers to keep myself warm while sleeping tonight. I hope I won't be sick tomorrow. Do you take precautions when you get in contact with a sick person?

I try to avoid sick people. If I do come in contact with any, I take Vitamin C and Zinc tablets. Hope you stay well!!!

Some people can’t be avoided. Taking tablets is good

@Madshadi That's true. If I had the guts, I'd wear a mask and gloves in public.

If anything, I try to stay away from sick people, but sometimes you just can't, especially if it's family. I do try to keep my distance, wash my hands a lot, and go outside to get fresh air. I try to keep up my health - eat lots of vegetables and citrus fruits - and drink water with a zip of organic apple cider vinegar in it. Oh, and I try to get lots of rest too!

Those are all good tips that certainly reduce the risk of catching something

I take precaution every single day and not only when I'm around sick people. I make sure I get enough vitamin c every single day to boost my immunity.

That's smart. I guess I'm too lazy to do that every day

Depending on what kind of flu it is you likely won't be sick tomorrow it usually takes a few days. I hope you do not catch it though. Drinking orange juice is a great idea. I was feeling under the weather today so I took some zinc.

Some viruses take longer than others that is true. I will still follow the same program for another day or two I suppose

It was very wise to take those measures immediately after. I haven't had a cold in 14 years - even when I am in contact with someone who has it.

That's really impressive. I remember that. But maybe it's good to catch something from time to time to keep our immune system in shape.
