I thought I could shorten names and the people that responded would get credit. I am so so sorry and did not know they would not get credit for me shortening their names. From now on I will use the whole name that is there.
I hope those that I did not will forgive me. I am using the first name that I see and not the @ and name after that. Is that ok to use and the person will get credit when they respond?
Thank you.

@1hopefulman
From now on Felix I will make sure that the @ sign and what follows after is in all of my responses like this one. That is how it works. I was not aware of it. I used to use the name before the @ sign so I would not get confused as to when i answered and who I answered but found out the person is not notified about the comment unless th @ sign is there.

If you are replying to a response on your posts you really don't need to mention their names at all, they get notified anyway. There is no extra credit to be gained from doing so.The @ is only useful if you want to draw the person's attention to something they might not otherwise see.
