Observed each year on March 23rd is National Puppy Day. The day was created to celebrate "puppy love." The way puppies bring such joy and complete love without expecting anything in return (except maybe a meal now and then, lol).
National Puppy Day was founded in 2006 by Pet Lifestyle Expert, Animal Behaviorist and Author, Colleen Paige. It is a day to save orphaned puppies and spread awareness about the horrors of businesses which bred these pets for profit. Bred without consideration of genetic quality, this produces generations of dogs with unchecked hereditary defects. In addition, these puppies are bred in inhumane conditions living in cages without any affection.
There are many different ways you can observe this national day. Some suggestions are:
-Adopt a puppy from your local shelter.
-Donate money, food and toys to your local shelter.
-Join a fun, dog friendly community online and post pics of your puppy for the world to ooh and ahh over!
-Buy your puppy a fun, new puppy toy.
-Make sure you have all required vaccines and a regular health exam.
These are just a few ways you can celebrate. Can you think of any other suggestions to celebrate the love of a puppy not mentioned here?
If your interested in the complete list go to this link I have provided for you.

@dgobucks226 We like them a little too much, as we have four dogs! No longer puppies, but we remember when they were or course.

Yes, a great cause. I also like the fact it can create awareness about animal cruelty too.

That is a great day and also in honor of the day to enjoy your dog and also for those that want a dog to adopt one.
