I thought taking a cat for a walk on a leash was funny but............

This baby duck is taken for a walk on a leash and seems to quite enjoy it. I only hope it is let loose once it comes back from her walk. Ducks need walks too but wonder if they cannot do it on their own and not have to leash them to do it.

@allknowing Yes, if the duckling is not released from the harness when the walk is done, it would not be fair. As long as the harness is just used when walking the duck, to keep it from going into traffic or protect it from dogs along the route, then it should be fine.

I guess it depends on where it walks. If there is a lot of traffic or predators around perhaps it is safer on a lead.

What is the need to take the duck where there is heavy traffic?

@allknowing Maybe they live in a high-rise apartment. Not everyone has a beautiful Solitaire in which to keep their pets safe.

@JudyEv It is like some hotel in Goa had a bird sitting on the reception table. It was not leashed but her wings were clipped. Is it really necessary to keep pets if we cannot give them happiness?

This baby duck is too cute. I never walked my pet duck on a leash, ducks need to be free.

why? I don't understand why on leash? they don't have their own ground. I don't like it when people put leash on animals that don't need to be leased. My neighbor put her cat on leash... so the cat is on leash the whole day.

@allknowing here... the cat is on leash and she cries a lot. I can't free her because i don't like to meddle with their affairs.

that's a cute duck. I have considered putting Lily (my black cat) on a leach, but she might not like it.
